Why CertifiK Guarantees Total Confidentiality

In today’s digital world, where sensitive data circulates rapidly, privacy is more critical than ever. This is exactly what sets CertifiK apart from other digital certification platforms. Unlike traditional solutions, CertifiK never receives the original document. Instead, only a digital fingerprint (hash) is transmitted — and it is generated locally on the user’s device.

What is a hash?

A SHA-256 hash is a unique digital fingerprint calculated from a file. It’s a fixed-length string (32 bytes) that summarizes the contents of a document, regardless of its size or type (text, image, PDF, etc.). This hash is non-reversible, meaning it is mathematically impossible to reconstruct the original document from its fingerprint.

What CertifiK never sees

Because the hashing process is done locally (on the user’s computer or smartphone), the original document never leaves the device. It is not uploaded, stored, or processed by CertifiK. As a result, even in the unlikely event of a data breach or intrusion, no personal or confidential data can be compromised.

Built-in confidentiality, GDPR compliant

This “zero document” approach removes the risk of mismanagement, data leaks, or hacking. By handling only anonymous, non-reversible digital fingerprints, CertifiK offers total confidentiality by design, fully aligned with GDPR requirements.

A solution built for those who want to certify their documents — without ever exposing their contents. Security, privacy, and simplicity — all in one.
